- 6 cups granulated sugar
- 1½ cups milk
- 1½ cups butter
- 6 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large heavy pot, combine sugar, milk, and butter.
- Bring to a rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
- Boil for 2½–3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and immediately stir in peanut butter and vanilla.
- Beat until smooth and glossy.
- Pour into lined or buttered pans, smooth the top.
- Let set at room temperature, then cut into squares.
