Peanut Butter Fudge

6 Batches (3 Double Batches)

Ingredients

Ad
  • 6 cups peanut butter (creamy works best)
  • 6 cups granulated sugar
  • 1½ cups milk
  • 1½ cups butter
  • 6 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large heavy pot, combine sugar, milk, and butter.
  2. Bring to a rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  3. Boil for 2½–3 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and immediately stir in peanut butter and vanilla.
  5. Beat until smooth and glossy.
  6. Pour into lined or buttered pans, smooth the top.
  7. Let set at room temperature, then cut into squares.

  • This amount fills two large sheet pans or three 9×13-inch pans nicely.

Pro Tips (important at this scale)

  • Use natural peanut butter only if well-stirred (no oil separation).
  • Work quickly once peanut butter is added — large batches set fast.
  • If doubling pots, split into two pots to avoid scorching.
