Ingredients

  • 32 frozen tater tots (about 1 bag)
  • 16 slices bacon, cut in half
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • Toothpicks (for securing)

Instructions

  1. Prep Oven & Baking Sheet
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top (this helps the bacon crisp evenly).
  2. Make the Coating
In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and chili powder.
  3. Wrap the Tater Tots
Take one tater tot and wrap it with half a slice of bacon. Secure with a toothpick.
  4. Coat & Arrange
Roll the bacon-wrapped tot in the brown sugar mixture until coated on all sides. Place on the wire rack. Repeat with remaining tater tots.
  5. Bake
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the tater tots are golden brown.
  6. Cool & Serve
Let them cool for a few minutes before serving—then dig in!

Storage & Reheating

  • Fridge: Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat: Warm in a 375°F oven for 8–10 minutes to re-crisp.
  • Freezer: You can freeze them after baking; reheat from frozen at 400°F for 12–15 minutes.
